That's why I'm committed to expanding affordable housing options, supporting homeownership, and ensuring housing for all - including those at risk of homelessness. I will work everyday to support the ability of everyone to achieve their dreams and to have the resources they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
EMPOWERING OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE
Our community's future depends on preparing our youth for success. As a strong public school supporter committed to funding safe and well maintained buildings, know that I’m also committed to investing in workforce development programs. Work force development programs equip students with the skills and training they need to secure high-paying jobs. By expanding occupational programs in schools, partnering with community colleges, and supporting apprenticeships, we can ensure that our graduates are ready to contribute to our community's economic growth and vitality.
TACKLING THE MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS & LONELINESS EPIDEMIC
Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet our community is facing a growing crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated an already prevalent issue, with young people disproportionately affected. Loneliness and isolation are rampant, and our mental healthcare system is struggling to keep up with the demand. If elected, I will steer resources toward agencies already working on this crisis, making sure they have access to what is needed to take care of our community.
